NOW MORE THAN EVER

Even before the Covid-19 pandemic, the achievement gap between low-income and other children was alarming.  Succeed2gether’s mission for the last 11 years has been to close this gap for students whose families are unable to afford tutoring or enrichment classes.  By leveling the playing field, we have succeeded in reducing the achievement gap for hundreds of low-income families.

The ongoing pandemic is making the achievement gap even worse, as remote learning and the closing of the economy hit the most vulnerable families the hardest.  Education experts predict low-income students will fall behind by an additional six months.

Now more than ever, Succeed2gether’s programs and mission are critical.

Once schools went virtual in March, Succeed2gether responded quickly to address the growing pool of students who were struggling.  Rather than reduce staff and programs, we moved all our free, one-on-one tutoring and after-school enrichment classes online in order to offer assistance to any Essex County student who needs it.  Moreover, to counter the summer slide, we increased our free summer modules to 25 classes, offering everything from algebra, violin and chess to girls’ STEM club, poetry and Mandarin.

On September 14, we resumed our free online one-one-one tutoring program, and on October 5, we restarted our online enrichment programs.

Now more than ever, we need our donor friends to help sustain our expanded efforts.

If you want to help provide equal opportunities for low-income children, please consider giving to Succeed2gether to help support our continuing efforts to reduce the achievement gap for low-income students and their families.

Whatever amount you can give, we will use it to continue  building our future, one child at a time, now when it is more critical than ever.

Please support our mission today.
